At an International Conference on July 2, Dr. Rincon from Bogota Colombia shared his expertise. Barry met him in January 2016 at Bogota Skills lab at the University Hospital of Health Sciences while researching possible fellowship sites for San Marcos residents. Dr. Rincon heads his department with 32 residents and 2 fellows. We are grateful to know him as a friend and be inspired by his ideas!

Dr. Balderas from Mexico sat next to Barry at a conference on Disaster Trauma in New Orleans, 2013. He generously offered his services as a speaker and resident rotation opportunity in 2015. He returned to share more this year. He is a generous & wise resource as well as a friend!

Dr Alex Vaisman is chief of his department/resident program at Clinica Alemana in Santiago Chile, specializing in sports medicine & shoulder surgery for high level athletes. He & Dr. Rincon previously were traveling fellows together and appreciate the importance of this life changing experience. Collaborating at different centers internationally greatly expands orthopedic knowledge and experience. We became good friends at the conference and look forward to collaborations in the future.
