The birth of baby in San Marcos hospital was captured on video & shared with 1 person.  We commented on how a new baby should be welcomed with a new blanket and the hospital does not have the most modern equipment to greet a newborn. That one comment started a project that keeps growing. My 93 year old mother and her knitting club started knitting baby hats and making receiving blankets. In Rockford Illinois, Kelly’s Necchi-New Home Sewing Machine Center closed for the day on June 17th and rallied a group of talented people to donate their skills & bolts of fabric to make 218 more colorful blankets! Looking forward to distributing some of them in August. Check back!
